Montu says, "If Pintu and I each have a dog, then exactly one of Bantu and Chantu has a dog."
Bantu says, "If Chantu and I each have a cat, then exactly one of Montu and Pintu has a dog."
Chantu says, "If Montu and I each have a dog, then exactly one of Bantu and Pintu has a cat."
Pintu says, "If Bantu and I each have a cat, then exactly one of Bantu and I has a dog."
Only one of the four is telling the truth. Who is telling the truth?

Montu is the one telling the truth. First I put all four of their names on a pice of paper. Then i read the first line and added dog underneath montu and pintu's names. I followed the same step for all four lines depending upon what they said they had. Then i went back to the first question and read it comparing it with my piece of paper. I repeated that step with all four lines and that

Pintu is telling he truth. It may seem that my logic is silly but pintu says that if he and Bantu each has a cat, then one of them would have a dog. It is usually the case as having a dog would help take care of its master as well as its friend (the cat). Although dogs n cats dun get along well, but i juzz think Pintu is telling the truth. I dunno

Since only one statement is true, all other statements are false.
For a If - then statement to be false, If portion has to be true and then portion has to be false.
That means firts portion of three statements are true & last portion of the other statement is true.
This is true in the case, if statement one is true.
