Nicky and Angie go shopping for some clothes. The kind shop lady says that if they buy at least 5 items, they will get a 25% discount. Hooray! They go ahead and do just that, putting the total onto Angie’s credit card.
The total is $206.25. Angie’s pants cost $59 and $49, totalling $108. With a 25% discount of $27, her items cost $81. This means that Nicky’s clothes totalled $125.25 after her 25% discount. The original amount would have been $167, and the discount $41.75.
But then they arrive home. Nicky realises she has been overcharged for her little blue skirt. She rushes back to the store post-haste and gets $44.25 refunded to Angie’s credit card.
Nicky now has to pay Angie what she owes her. How much should she pay her? Submitted by : Angela
